Malvern International is entering an exciting new phase of growth. Listed on AIM and backed by public investments, they are seeking to leverage over 20 years of experience as they expand into the Pathway sector and seek to grow their EFL provision. Malvern International supports students in their development and preparation for success at university and/or their professional careers, through University Pathway programmes, direct entry and English Language courses.

 

The group comprises of two UK based English language schools - Communicate School in Manchester and Malvern House London, Language in Action Junior Summer Programmes, an embedded on-campus International Study Centre at the University of East London and an off-campus NCUK International Study Centre situated in Malvern House London, plus student recruitment for direct entry to the University of Chichester.

 

 

Job purpose:

Key Responsibilities

·      To drive and deliver annual sales plans for each target source market. Working with the Global Director of Student Recruitment and team members, to build the regional market development and recruitment strategy.

·      Manage the existing agent network and grow key accounts.

·      Lead new agent acquisition, onboarding, activation and performance management.

·      Manage the student lead and application pipeline, influencing demand generation and conversion as necessary to deliver growth. This will include direct engagement with prospective students, as well as managing the relationship and commercial agreements with agents and other partners.

·      Develop a multi-channel recruitment strategy, including, where viable, government sponsorship and partner feeder institutions.

·      Provide regular reports on sales progress and sales forecasts.

·      Provide market intelligence and performance to business stakeholders in order to support strategic developments.

 

 

 

·      Collaborate closely with other Regional Directors and Managers, Director of Sales Operations and the Global Director of Student Recruitment in the EFL division to ensure success.

·      To work with colleagues in the University Partnerships Division of Malvern International enabling the co-ordination of regional activities, cross-promoting and referring business opportunities.

·      To liaise with Malvern’s Marketing team to bring global marketing plans to regional delivery, and to provide regular feedback on messaging, programme positioning, pricing and campaign performance.

·      To work with Sales operations, admissions, and agent support teams to ensure that the pipeline is well-managed, follow-up is timely and efficient, all sales processes are followed, and compliance requirements in student recruitment, admissions and enrolment are met at all times.

·      Liaise with Finance teams ensuring effective management of regional budgets and cost of acquisition, supporting commission payments and fee collection where required.

·      To support student arrival and engagement at Malvern teaching centres and to ensure the agent network has a strong understanding of how to promote all relevant partnerships and programmes within the portfolio.

 

 

Candidate Profile

 

The Regional Manager LATAM position requires an enthusiastic and independent individual with significant regional networks and market understanding. They will be a strong student recruitment professional who is able to build relationships with an extensive network of partners across the region. As such, this individual needs to be highly driven and motivated by a desire to impact the business and disrupt the market in order support Malvern Internationals expansion as they embark on their next phase of growth.

 

•       Reporting to the Director of Student Recruitment, the successful candidate will be an internationally experienced professional.

•       The candidate will ideally have 3+ years’ experience in the sector and be able to demonstrate past success in growing student numbers across the region.

•       A credible and connected individual, they will have significant networks with agents and feeder schools in the region.

•       The candidate will have the ability to maximise business through the existing customer base, building strong lasting relations.

•       Creative and ambitious, they will be a thought-leader in their approach to differentiating Malvern International against others in their market.

•       The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, target-driven, and a strong team player with a flexible approach to work. The candidate will be both excited by and comfortable with international travel to accelerate opportunities and will spend approximately 3 months per year travelling (possible that this may be more in the first 12 – 18 months).

  • Fluent in English (spoken and written) (E)

Experience and knowledge

  • Good understanding of sales and marketing processes in the international education sector. (E)
