As Head of Commercial Finance, you will be working alongside a brilliant leadership team that has grown the proposition to nearly £50m in revenue in the last 5 years. With your support, the plan is to accelerate to £100m in as many years.


We are looking for a commercially astute leader to drive profitability, optimize operational efficiency, and nurture strategic initiatives across the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

Commercial Business Partnering:

  • Collaborate with the CFO and Commercial Director to devise and execute Pricing and Promotion Strategies across various channels.
  • Develop margin management models with the product team to enhance product profitability.
  • Oversee the promotional sign-off process in coordination with commercial and marketing teams. Provide support for range development activities to ensure product diversification and market competitiveness.


Operational Business Partnering:

  • Establish and review key operational KPIs across kitchen and operations, focusing on labour and productivity.
  • Streamline labour planning processes utilizing existing scheduling tools to optimize workforce efficiency.
  • Assist the FP&A Manager in conducting labour and P&L reviews with the operations team.


Value Creation:

  • Identify opportunities for value creation across all channels through comprehensive business analysis.
  • Define and monitor KPIs to measure and realize value from strategic initiatives.
  • Reporting and Planning: • Continuously enhance weekly and monthly KPI reporting mechanisms. Consolidate P&L and KPI reporting, providing clear insights into cause-and-effect relationships. Partner with the CFO to implement a formalized planning cycle to drive strategic decision-making.


Key Skillsets:

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate ideas into actionable plans.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, including advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with SQL and Power BI is advantageous.
  • A curious mindset with a knack for uncovering opportunities for revenue enhancement and process improvement.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively prioritize tasks to support business growth.


Qualifications:

  • Qualified Accountant or other relevant Commercial/Analytical experience, MBA, Consulting, etc. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in finance or operations roles, preferably within the consumer goods industry.
  • Previous experience in business partnering and strategic planning is highly desirable.
