About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Residential Conveyancing Solicitor (Fee Earner) with 5+ years PQE to join a well-regarded law firm in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to manage a diverse and complex caseload of residential property transactions, while contributing to the ongoing success and growth of the firm’s conveyancing department.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a high-volume caseload of residential conveyancing transactions, including sales, purchases, re-mortgages, and leasehold transactions.
  • Provide expert legal advice to clients, ensuring they are well-informed and supported throughout the conveyancing process.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, transfers, and other legal documents.
  • Coordinate with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and third-party service providers to ensure smooth and timely transactions.
  • Handle all aspects of the conveyancing process, ensuring compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a high level of client care and communication, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns.
  • Demonstrate excellent time management skills to meet deadlines and handle a busy caseload.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.
  • Contribute to the development of the conveyancing department, including assisting with business development and client retention.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records using case management systems and ensure files are compliant with the firm's procedures.


Key Requirements:

  • 5+ years PQE as a Residential Conveyancing Solicitor, with a proven track record in handling a range of residential property transactions.
  • Strong experience in managing high-value and complex cases, with a deep understanding of residential conveyancing law and related regulations.
  • Excellent client-facing skills, with the ability to build and maintain lasting client relationships.
  • Demonstrable ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage competing deadlines.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in using case management systems and MS Office.
  • Experience in mentoring junior team members and contributing to departmental success.
