Due to continued business growth, we are hiring an Assistant Sales Manager to help lead our Electrical Sales teams. This could be the perfect next step in your Business Development career or that the opportunity to move into a leadership role.

We love working with people who think like we do and as an Assistant Sales Manager you will support the delivery of the perfect transaction to both internal and external customers. You will be high performing from a sales perspective and a dedicated leader across the group sales function, ensuring optimal delivery and performance within the team.
For this role, you must be able to get into our Electrical head office in Preston, full time.
What will I be doing?
The role will involve interacting with customers across our global client portfolio. You will proactively identify ways to improve our customer experience. You will be recognised internally and externally for your technical skills and knowledge, other responsibilities will include:
Effectively leading and managing the sales team
Monitoring the performance of the sales team through KPI metrics
Owning and taking accountability for dealing with customer queries within your portfolio of contracts through to resolution within your levels of authority
Collate, update and maintain market and competitors' activities on a monthly basis
Interpret market trends and developments
Chairing weekly sales team meetings
Manage budgets to ensure efficient use of resources
Plan and organise sales campaigns and promotions
Review client feedback to improve on our client service delivery
Develop systems knowledge and understanding to deliver the highest quality of customer service
Using your influencing and negotiation skills to generate leads/business opportunities to support our strategy and expand client relationships
Managing customer interactions in an efficient, courteous, and timely manner to achieve a high standard of customer satisfaction
Managing customer expectations while proactively identifying and pursuing up-sell and cross-sell opportunities
Planning and managing your own workload, considering changes in customer priorities
Adapting quickly to change in volume of demand, operating process and technologies
Performing all duties of the Sales Manager in cases of absence or emergency

You will demonstrate customer obsession, developing effective relationships with internal and external customers to support in the positive growth of business.
You will:
Be customer obsessed with a focus on building effective and sustainable customer relationships
Offer solid sales experience, with enhanced knowledge and experience of effective sales techniques, negotiation, and delivery skills
Be considerate of others and passionate about leading and developing a successful team
Be results driven- understanding the importance of target delivery and supporting the team in achieving this
Have a thorough understanding of BES Group, our disciplines, services and offerings
Use data and technology to support growth and positive service
Be focused on the perfect transaction
