Who we are

Grant Thornton’s Agile Talent Community is a network of contract professionals, giving you the opportunity to work with our clients alongside Grant Thornton teams on a project-by-project basis whilst being supported by our dedicated Agile Talent team.

Joining us in Corporate Finance Advisory

As a Technical Consultant you will be working closely with our Equity Capital Markets team within Corporate Finance providing industry expertise to support the team’s service delivery. The consultant is not expected to be office based. The work is on an ongoing basis, typically averaging 1 day a month spread over the month. However, the consultant should be prepared to travel (including overseas) for short trips to client operations as part of site visits (these may be accompanying a member of the corporate finance team), as and when required.

Once a role is completed, you will have the freedom to continue working with us on projects that you can choose, whether full or part-time within Enterprise applications and support our clients and internal teams on short to medium-term assignments

  • Experience in a consulting or advisory or research environment with a focus on the Mining and/or Commodities sector (e.g. equity research).
  • Experience of producing project assessment or valuation reports, ideally as a competent person. You will have experience with the technical appraisal of documents to assess projects as well as on-site field work.
  • Have as a minimum an engineering or science degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. geology, geophysics, geosciences or earth science).
  • Be a member in good standing of an appropriate professional body (e.g. the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining, the Geological Society of London, the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers).
  • Communication and relationship building skills with clients and colleagues.
  • Analytical skills and the ability to commercially analyse financial data
