United Kingdom Origination Network Full time

We are seeking an experienced and strategic SEO Director to lead our search engine optimisation efforts across our portfolio company. As a key member of the marketing team, you will be responsible for driving organic growth, maximising search visibility, and optimising digital content strategies to ensure our brand outperforms in the competitive landscape. This role is critical to our ambitious growth targets and is perfect for an SEO leader with a data-driven approach, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a track record of delivering high-impact SEO programmes.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work within a fast-paced, private-equity-backed company where you’ll shape SEO strategy across multiple business units and markets, driving meaningful impact on the company's bottom line.

Key Responsibilities

SEO Strategy & Execution: As the SEO Director, you will develop and execute a comprehensive SEO strategy aligned with the portfolio company’s growth objectives. Your focus will be on both on-page and off-page SEO to enhance organic search visibility and drive traffic. This includes conducting in-depth keyword research to identify growth opportunities, understanding customer intent, and optimising content strategy. You will also be responsible for implementing technical SEO improvements, collaborating with development teams to ensure optimal website performance, indexation, crawlability, and adherence to SEO best practices.

Content Optimisation & Management: In partnership with the content teams, you will lead the development of a robust content marketing plan aligned with SEO goals, aimed at generating high-quality, relevant, and authoritative content. You will oversee the optimisation of existing and new content across the site to ensure it meets SEO standards, targets relevant keywords, and enhances user experience. Additionally, you will spearhead efforts to build link authority through outreach, partnerships, and strategic link-building initiatives.

Data Analysis & Reporting: Data analysis and reporting are core aspects of this role. You will monitor, analyse, and report on SEO performance, including metrics like organic traffic, rankings, and conversions. Utilising analytics tools such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, Moz, and others, you will track performance, identify trends, and generate actionable insights. Establishing and maintaining SEO KPIs, you’ll regularly communicate insights and progress to executive leadership and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Experience: 7+ years of SEO experience with a strong track record of driving organic growth; experience in a private-equity-backed or high-growth company is a plus.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and develop an SEO team and manage cross-functional projects with development, design, content, and marketing teams.
  • Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of technical SEO, on-page and off-page optimisation, content marketing, and keyword research. Familiarity with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Screaming Frog, and others.
  • Analytical Mindset: Highly analytical with strong data analysis skills; able to interpret data to make informed decisions and measure the impact of SEO initiatives.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present insights, recommendations, and reports to executive leadership.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment; capable of managing multiple priorities with precision and a strategic mindset.
