Role

Projects Logistics Co-Ordinator


Key Duties to Include.

• Assessing clients’ needs and providing clients with accurate information

• Identifying the most appropriate form of transit and identifying and mitigating potential risk

• Oversee and assist in the preparation and presentation of quotations for clients, recording the information on the Company databases and following up to secure business

• Booking shipments with hauliers, ocean lines and airlines

• Completing AWB's, bills of lading, customs entries and identification and preparation of all other documentation required for export and re-import

• Liaising and updating clients, overseas agents, and suppliers as necessary

• Supervise and monitor through transit corridor with hauliers, ocean lines, airlines and overseas partners

• Ensuring correct customs procedures are being used

• Passing of supplier’s invoices

• Supervise and assist cost accruals and charging of shipments including the sending out of invoice and back up documentation to the relevant party


Hours

0900 – 1730 Monday to Friday – monitoring of shipments is sometimes required to be performed out of hours


Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an operational environment (multi modal would be an asset) The role is export biased.

• Satisfactory CRC check and satisfactory 5 year background checks and eligibility to work in the UK

• Full, clean driving licence

• Positive, 'can-do' attitude

• Able to organise themselves and work independently

• Ability to manage competing priorities

• The candidate can communicate confidently, openly, clearly, in a timely manner and accurately.

• Customer Focus

• Demonstrates an understanding of our customers’ requirements and gives priority to meeting their needs by providing effective customer led solutions.

• Able to gather information from a variety of sources, to challenge information and apply decision making to reach an informed decision.

• Awareness of revenue, profit & loss

• Takes responsibility and ownership for implementation and execution


In order to be considered for this role, you must have relevant experience gained with a freight forwarding business with a bias towards exports.



Salary

Up to £45k per year
