Junior Quantitative Trader– STIRT – Miller Maxwell is assisting a globally recognised technology-driven Investment Bank seeking to hire a Junior Quantitative Trader to join an expanding Quant and quantitative development desk in London. The role involves front-office interactions with seasoned traders and algorithmic developers.


The Junior Quantitative Trader will:


  • Conduct a thorough examination of the market micro-structure and related aspects/parameters.
  • Monitoring electronic trading components.
  • Measuring algo performance using best Execution requirements and developing and implementing new trading strategies.
  • Utilizing data visualization tools and large data analysis techniques.
  • Additionally, the position provides an opportunity to participate in the development of cutting-edge algorithms and analytics applications.
  • Monitor trading activities and assist in real-time trading operations.
  • Ensure compliance with risk management protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the team in driving commercial viability and revenue generation of trading strategies.
  • Provide trade support and product coverage as part of a 24/6 operation.


The Junior Quantitative Analyst should have:


  • A degree in a STEM subject.
  • Proven commercial experience working within the financial services sector.
  • Python programming experience.
  • Knowledge of SQL – R.
  • Worked with large financial data sets and understand database structures.
