Junior Quantitative Trader Opportunity

Miller Maxwell Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Junior Quantitative Trader to join our expanding Quant and quantitative development desk in London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for front-office interactions with seasoned traders and algorithmic developers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in market micro-structure and related aspects, with experience in monitoring electronic trading components and measuring algo performance using best Execution requirements. Additionally, they will have expertise in data visualization tools and large data analysis techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough examinations of market micro-structure and related aspects.
  • Monitor electronic trading components and ensure compliance with risk management protocols.
  • Develop and implement new trading strategies using data visualization tools and large data analysis techniques.
  • Participate in the development of cutting-edge algorithms and analytics applications.
  • Support the team in driving commercial viability and revenue generation of trading strategies.

Requirements:

  • STEM degree.
  • Proven commercial experience working within the financial services sector.
  • Python programming experience.
  • Knowledge of SQL and R.
  • Experience working with large financial data sets and understanding database structures.
