About the business


A specialist within the HealthTech space, our client is on a high-growth journey after a $20m+ Series B raise. They are focussing on digitising access to healthcare services and products, working on targeting people who are resistant or unable to going down traditional treatment routes. They have a range of diagnostic tools, services, treatments and blood test services to offer data-driven health solutions.



About the role


After a company acquisition, they are building out a new development team to work on integrating the services into the wider company ecosystem. There will be a focus on aligning the product operations, creating a large range of new product features and optimising the offering to ensure higher customer retention and increase access to the services


As the Senior Software Engineer, you will join a team of 6 - 2 Backend Engineers, 2 Frontend Engineers, a Tech Lead and a Product Manager. You will:


  • Using Javascript and React you will have the make a direct impact to the business by shaping the direction of the front-end technology
  • Building new components, editing existing components, and making significant contributions to the component library
  • You will be working on a frontend consumer focussed platform that is based on NextJS and React. The technology stack includes Redux, Server-side rendering, static generation, Sass pre-processor
  • You will utilise our cloud-based infrastructure using Vercel and AWS


Tech Stack: PHP, Symfony / Laravel, AWS, JavaScript, React, Redux, NextJS, Postgres, Playwright, Jest


About you



  • 5+ years experience in software engineering
  • A BSc or above in Computer Science (or similar), or equivalent industry experience
  • Able to work in a high-paced startup environment, with a significant amount of ownership and accountability
  • Prior experience working with React preferred, but strong coding skills in JavaScript and a willingness to work with this framework will also be considered
