Employment Senior Associate


The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Associate to join our Employment team. The team is well known for delivering practical, outcome-focused solutions, with a market-leading reputation in the charity and not-for-profit sectors. In this role, you’ll manage complex cases, lead client relationships, oversee transactions, and mentor junior team members. You’ll also drive business development and contribute to the firm’s growth.


Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on the full range of employment law and HR issues for diverse clients, including charities, social enterprises, corporates, and senior executives.
  • Lead and manage cases, develop client relationships, and contribute to business development initiatives.
  • Supervise junior team members, delegating effectively and fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Take a lead in the day-to-day running of transactions.


Manage both contentious and advisory matters, focusing on:

  • Discrimination complaints
  • Whistleblowing concerns
  • Grievance and disciplinary matters
  • TUPE and redundancy processes
  • Safeguarding employment issues
  • Employment status and volunteer matters


About You

  • UK-qualified lawyer with at least 5 years PQE.
  • Expertise in handling complex employment law matters, including advisory, transactional, and contentious work.
  • Strong client service, relationship-building, and business development skills.
  • Proven ability to supervise and manage cases and projects effectively.
  • Ambitious, proactive, and entrepreneurial, with a clear focus on progressing toward partnership.
  • Commercially astute and eager to contribute to the growth of the practice.
