Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Senior Manager: Process Improvement and IT outsourcing. The role is located in Central London, with flexibility for some remote work. We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager to lead outsourcing and process improvement initiatives for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of IT infrastructure, experience with BPO providers, and a proven track record in process optimization. The role involves assessing current IT operations, identifying inefficiencies, developing strategies for improvement, and managing the transition to optimized, outsourced solutions.


Responsibilities

  • IT and Process Analysis: Evaluate existing IT functions and business processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement. Understand the full scope of organizational IT needs and requirements.
  • Strategy Development for Outsourcing and Efficiency: Develop comprehensive strategies that integrate IT outsourcing with process improvements. Ensure that outsourcing decisions enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
  • RFI/RFP Development and Management: Craft and manage RFI/RFP processes that incorporate criteria for efficiency and process optimization. Guide clients through a data-driven approach to select BPO providers that align with these goals.
  • Vendor Selection and Efficiency Standards: Manage the vendor selection process, emphasizing not only cost-effectiveness but also the ability to provide innovative solutions that enhance process efficiency.
  • Contract Negotiations with a Focus on Performance: Negotiate contracts that include clear benchmarks for process improvement and efficiency gains. Establish SLAs that enforce and reward achieving higher efficiency standards.
  • Transition Management with Efficiency Metrics: Oversee the transition to outsourcing partners, ensuring that new workflows and technologies contribute to enhanced efficiency and productivity.
  • Ongoing Performance and Process Evaluation: Implement a sustainable performance management system that regularly assesses the efficiency and effectiveness of outsourced services. Use metrics and KPIs to drive continuous improvement.


Qualifications

  • At least 10-15 years in IT management, consulting, or a related field, with substantial experience managing BPO relationships and leading process improvement initiatives
  • 5+ years of experience working in a professional consultancy
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. An advanced degree like an MBA is preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify inefficiencies and devise effective solutions
  • Experience in process re-engineering and applying methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, or similar
  • Demonstrated ability in project management, including managing large-scale transitions to new processes or systems
  • Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Outstanding communication abilities, capable of persuasively presenting and advocating for proposed strategies.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in process improvement and IT outsourcing
  • Professional certifications in Certifications in Project Management (PMP), Lean, Six Sigma, ITIL, or similar would be advantageous
