Job Type: Full-time

UK Management College are looking for enthusiastic and confident individuals to join our team as an Academic Administrator.

Our business is growing rapidly and as such, we have a number of different roles to fulfill. As this is a role in which you will be dealing with students face to face, this is an office-based role in our new campus in Manchester.

No two days will be the same at UKMC, it will be busy and it is very fast paced. Your role will be to assist with student applications and ensuring they are processed accurately, fairly, efficiently and with optimum results through a very busy period.

Under the direction of the Head of Academic Services, you will be responsible for:

  • Student Registration
  • Attendance Monitoring
  • Course Examination and Assessment
  • Handling queries and complaints

Academic Administrator Requirements

  • Proven administrative skills (well-organised, clear-thinking, proactive, and effective) obtained through demonstrable experience
  • Ability to multi-task, solve problems, and work calmly and logically to meet multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines
  • Ability to work independently, practically, and resourcefully as a member of a the team
  • Quick to learn new systems and processes, and to have the capacity to assimilate, understand, and retain complex information at speed, while maintaining accuracy
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, with the ability to deal confidently, sensitively, and appropriately with a wide variety of people from varying backgrounds and ethnicities
  • Ability to be tactful and discrete in dealing with confidential or sensitive matters
  • Flexibility in their approach to work, with a co-operative attitude
  • Manage the enrollment process for new and returning students, ensuring accurate and secure data maintenance.
  • Oversee attendance tracking systems, addressing discrepancies, and generating reports to identify patterns.
  • Analyse student data to generate reports on academic performance and trends.

Essential Requirements

·      1+ years of office-based experience in administrative role (preferably within the education sector).

·      Proven administrative skills: highly organised, proactive, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

·      Multitasking abilities: able to juggle various tasks, such as managing student queries, coordinating interviews, and maintaining records.

·      Excellent communication skills: fluent in English, with the ability to deal confidently, tactfully, and sensitively with people from diverse backgrounds.

·      Strong IT skills: proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and quick to learn new systems.

·      Attention to detail: ability to process information accurately while working under pressure.

·      Discretion and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.

·      Team player: able to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues across different departments.

·      Flexibility: open to adapting work practices to suit changing business needs.

·      Minute taking experience for important Meetings.
