Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic Pre-Construction and Estimation Manager to join our team, dedicated to assisting major global clients in the successful execution of ambitious and highly technical projects worldwide. The role focuses on strategic planning, bid management, and procurement expertise.
Responsibilities:
Bid and Proposal Management:
- Plan and execute all aspects of bids, proposals, and tenders.
- Develop winning strategies and quality-focused plans for bids.
- Participate in red reviews of prequalification documents and tenders.
Project Coordination:
- Oversee the coordination of site teams, subcontractors, and external supply chain.
- Ensure project delivery aligns with customer and company expectations.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance methods and standards.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project pipelines and requirements across various consultancy and advisory categories.
- Foster collaborative working relationships with multidisciplinary teams.
Cost Estimation:
- Independently prepare internal take-off and cost estimates from conceptual ideas to construction budgets.
- Review and validate complex contractor cost estimates.
Contract Management:
- Establish complex contracts and service agreements.
- Develop and procure different forms of contracts, including partnering agreements.
Skills and Attributes:
- Experience in making presentations to management meetings and committees.
- Proven ability to lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong contract and service agreement negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Fluent in English; other languages considered as an asset.
- Team player with a proactive approach and strong interpersonal skills.
- Results-oriented with exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Technology-savvy with an interest in Smart Buildings.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
Experience and Education:
- Minimum of 5+ years of industry experience, preferably in construction/MEP/CSA project management/QAQC/Commissioning.
- Successful track record of winning tenders in the Public Sector.
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical field.
- Comprehensive understanding of the total project life cycle.
