Thorn Baker Construction is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to oversee two sites in the West Midlands.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and coordinate all aspects of traditional new build housing contracts
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution
- Monitor and control project progress, identifying and resolving any issues that may arise
- Prepare and review contract documents, including variations and claims
- Provide regular reports to senior management on project status and performance
- Valid SMSTS qualification
- NVQ Level 7 in Construction Management or related field
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar Contract Manager role with a house builder
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, regulations, and Health & Safety standards
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Office-based with frequent site visits and travel between project locations
- Full-time hours, with occasional evening and weekend work required to meet project deadlines
