Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Rubicon Consulting. In this role, you will be responsible for managing procurement and purchasing activities for energy and construction projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain management, contract negotiation, and project management principles. You will work closely with the project team to ensure successful project delivery, identify cost-saving initiatives, negotiate favorable terms with suppliers, and manage contracts throughout their lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Engineering to mutually agree on material specifications, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing.
  • IDentify critical/safety-related long-lead items and engage suppliers early to minimize downstream risks.
  • Manage subcontractor/supplier contracts, expediting regular reviews, updating reports, and ensuring delivery Right First Time.
  • Monitor and review technical query trending bi-weekly to verify reduction in queries and report to the Supply Chain Development Manager.
  • Participate in the Make v Buy Team, supporting analysis of costing data, assessing and mitigating supplier risks, and providing regular reporting to the Project Manager on subcontractor/supplier performance.

Requirements:

This role requires a strong background in procurement, ideally within a project-based environment. The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of experience in a purchasing position, managing suppliers, and be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. Familiarity with NEC3/NCE4 forms of contract is an asset. Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential for success in this role.

What We Offer:
