Rutherford have been mandated on an excellent opportunity for a Paralegal to join our hedge fund client's London legal team. The successful candidate will be assisting on a variety of projects and will have a strong working knowledge of the documentation surrounding fund formation and structuring. This is a junior role and you will be in a position to learn and be supervised by a best in class legal team



Responsibilities


  • Manage firm-wide legal documentation; and execute changes to the firm’s document management system.
  • Manage various corporate administrative matters for the firm’s legal entities across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Review and summarize basic contractual terms, including confidentiality agreements, NDAs, side letters and terms of business.
  • Analyze, digest and summarize transaction documentation for certain investments
  • Manage various workstreams relating to quarterly board and committee meetings, including the preparation and distribution of meeting minutes and related materials.
  • Take ownership of customer due diligence review procedures and new client onboarding processes
  • Prepare and submit regulatory filings in a timely manner with the FCA, SEC and other relevant regulatory bodies
  • Assist with periodic compliance testing of firm policies and procedures, including PA Dealing reviews and ecomms surveillance and screening of the firm’s vendors/service providers.



Your Background


  • At least 1 years experience as a paralegal from a top UK or US law firm or acting in an in-house capacity within an investment management firm. Candidates with an investment funds background will be preferred
  • You will possess an excellent academic record from a leading university.
  • Faultless attention to detail
  • You will hold a sense of accountability and be intellectually curious
  • An ability to digest complex material in an accurate and concise manner
