Management Accountant, £45k, 12 month FTC

A media production house is seeking a qualified accountant to join their expanding finance team. Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant, you will collaborate with the wider management accounting team and work closely with key stakeholders across the organisation. This role is ideal for professionals with strong technical skills who are looking for their next challenge. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, so early submission is encouraged. Preference will be given to candidates with short notice periods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the management accounting team to deliver high-quality accounting, processing, and reporting services
  • Prepare management reports and quarterly forecasts
  • Contribute to the organisation's budgeting process
  • Prepare financial statements and liaise with auditors
  • Assist with year-end financial reports for subsidiaries and act as the primary contact for auditors
  • Provide information for internal reports, including risk management documentation
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and reporting guidelines
  • Maintain financial policies, procedures, and system workflows
  • Analyse income and expenditure to improve efficiency and financial performance
  • Support business cases and funding applications with financial data
  • Offer financial insights for organisational projects and initiatives

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with experience in audit or similar roles
  • Charity sector experience is advantageous
  • Familiarity with accounting software like Unit 4/Agresso or Business Central is desirable but not essential
  • Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory frameworks
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders
