About the Role:

As a Staff Backend Engineer, you’ll step into a position that provides both technical challenges and unparalleled ownership and autonomy. You’ll play a key role in scaling a unique AI-driven platform that enables tens of thousands of users to participate in real time video conversations, shaping critical decisions in their organizations.


With enterprise clients already on board and rapid growth on the horizon, your expertise will be crucial in delivering a robust and scalable architecture capable of handling high levels of concurrent users. You’ll contribute to and lead architectural discussions, ensuring the platform remains cutting-edge and resilient.


As Staff Backend Engineer you should have experience in:

  • 5+ years of experience in Java, Kotlin or Scala, AWS (CDK, Terraform), Kafka and Kubernetes
  • Exposure to real-time event-driven services
  • System design experience


An ideal candidate will have experience working with:

  • Kotlin for backend application development
  • Postgres for data storage
  • Kafka for asynchronous messaging
  • ECS and Kubernetes for deployment
  • AWS for production and staging environments
  • CDK for infrastructure deployment
  • React for frontend development
  • Previous experience in early-stage startup environments
