Senior Backend Engineer (Golang & AWS) – Up to £85,000 | Remote | ASAP Start


Are you an experienced Backend Engineer with a passion for high-volume, scalable systems? We’re partnered with the UK’s number one booking system platform, looking for a skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join their remote team, starting as soon as possible.


About the Role

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you’ll play a key role in building and scaling backend systems using Golang and AWS. Working on a platform that handles massive data volumes daily, you’ll focus on creating efficient, self-deploying services that keep performance strong at every level.


What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, and deploy backend services in Golang, with an emphasis on performance and scalability
  • Work within AWS to manage and scale cloud infrastructure to meet high-volume demands
  • Optimise backend architecture to ensure reliability and fast response times
  • Implement messaging and queuing systems for robust data processing
  • Collaborate with a team of engineers to deliver seamless integration and feature improvements


What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in backend development, with a strong focus on Golang
  • Proven ability to work with AWS for scalable cloud solutions
  • Experience in handling high-volume data environments and self-deploying applications
  • Knowledge of messaging queuing systems and microservices architecture
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to debugging and improving backend systems
