VANRATH are excited to be hiring on behalf of a global financial services company for an experienced Technical Software Manager to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a talented software development team, contributing to large-scale financial projects while leveraging your expertise in Java and AWS.

About the Role:

As the Technical Software Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and deployment of cutting-edge solutions that support key business functions. You will lead and mentor a team of developers, ensuring project delivery is on time and within scope, while working closely with stakeholders to align technology strategy with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of software developers, ensuring high-quality code delivery and adherence to best practices.
  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of Java-based applications, hosted on AWS.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical solutions that meet business needs.
  • Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and adoption of new technologies within the team.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to team members.
  • Manage project timelines, risks, and resources to ensure timely delivery.

  • Proven experience leading a software development team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong background in Java and AWS technologies.
  • Experience within the financial services sector, with a solid understanding of industry-specific requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate technical solutions to non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and deploying scalable, secure software solutions.
