Commercial Litigation Paralegal - US Firm

A prestigious US firm is looking for a skilled paralegal specializing in Commercial Litigation or International Arbitration to join their team in London for an initial 12-month fixed-term contract.


Responsibilities: Support the Commercial Litigation and International Arbitration team with tasks at a trainee level, including:

  • Conduct pre-claim investigations, legal research, and initial case assessments.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as calendaring hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, and managing logistics.
  • Assist with strategic and background due diligence on counsel and arbitrators.
  • Maintain case files and document sets, both electronically and physically as required.
  • Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices for filings.
  • Contribute to disclosure/document production processes and manage e-databases internally or with external vendors.
  • Assist with witness familiarization.
  • Attend arbitration hearings, remote hearing processes, tribunal document updates and arrangements.
  • Assist with preparing cost schedules and submissions.
  • Execute filings with arbitration tribunals and parties.
  • Attend Court in person for filings/applications and handle related processes.
  • Proactively support practice management and development, including business development events, precedent resources, and know-how dissemination.
  • Creating document closing ‘bibles’.


About You:

  • Strong academic background, including a law degree or equivalent qualifications.
  • Previous experience in Commercial Litigation or International Arbitration within a law firm environment.
  • Familiarity with London courts and hands-on trial experience.
  • Ability to work independently as the sole paralegal on high-value cases.
