The role would suit an enthusiastic Patent Administrator who would like to gain broad exposure to and significant responsibility for administrating commercially valuable IP assets with a strong IP team in expansion.


Responsibilities


  1. Patent filings / Prosecution: Manage patent filings and prosecution through our network of IP counsels and service providers throughout the world on behalf of the team.
  2. Deadline Monitoring: Track and manage deadlines associated with patent and trademark matters. Develop reporting dashboards to help track deadlines by the IP counsels.
  3. Gather evidence and legal documentation: Compile evidence of trademark use or IDS patent documentation as required. Facilitating the signing of legal documents and contracts.
  4. Renewals and Assignments: Managing renewals and assignments of patent and trademark rights.
  5. IP Database: Ensuring data relating to the IP rights is accurately stored and managed. Be ready to lead in the implementation of an alternative IP database and support the smooth migration of records.
  6. Financial coordination: Interact with the finance department for invoice approval, approve invoices per our delegation rules and commercial terms.


Experience and Requirements:


  • Previous experience in patent formalities and IP support is required (essential), a CIPA Administrator Certificate or equivalent a plus
  • Strong attention to detail with good IT skills
  • The ability to work under pressure
  • Intercultural awareness and skills and great team playing skills
  • Good communication skills and ability to work independently as a self-starter
  • A good working knowledge in Excel, Patent & Trademark databases and Intellectual
  • Property Filings
