Purpose of the Role

To provide an efficient warehouse service to all areas of the business through the warehouse, goods inward and despatch area. Ensure that all goods received and despatched are correctly logged and accounted for, moved to the correct location and protected from damage and deterioration through proper storage. Perform driving duties as and when required. Our standard working hours are on day shifts;

Monday to Thursday 07.30-16.30

Fridays 07.30 - 12.30


Key Accountabilities

· Locate and pick components/items for sub module build as per build lists and priorities.

· Loading/unloading of Goods In/Out.

· Packing of goods for deliveries to internal and external locations.

· Maintain secure storage environment

· Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment at all times.


Key Responsibilities

· Unloading/loading of all deliveries and collections within the goods inward, despatch and warehouse department, supporting Kitting area when required.

· Maintain a secure storage environment for all items retained in all the warehouses to protect from theft or misappropriation. All movement of items in and out of warehouse should be properly tracked, recorded and accepted at its destination. This will ensure that there is always an accurate record of items in the warehouse and that any missing items can be identified quickly and tracked back to their last known location.

· Prepare sub-module items for use in the assembly of machines ensuring that the correct quantity of items is selected/picked and that stocks are replenished as appropriate. This will ensure the swift selection of components for the creation of regularly used items.

· Contribute towards continuous improvement initiatives, making recommendations on changes where a benefit can be identified.

· Prepare goods for transportation/despatch by ensuring they are clean and fit for delivery, applying protective wrapping and palletising goods therefore guaranteeing product preservation. This will ensure that goods are delivered to the destination without damage and/or a reduction in quality.

· Help maintain a tidy and organised warehouse working environment. (Sustained 6S)

· Provide driving cover for collections and deliveries using business vehicles.

· Liaise with process flow to maintain a smooth transition of parts and kits from the warehouse to the main facility in a timely manner.

· Carry out administrative tasks to ensure accurate information is available eg on “kits”, stock levels and orders, scan delivery notes, adding BOMs to the system for kitting

· Work with all Mpac Lambert colleagues to ensure compliance with ISO14001, ISO9001 and OHSAS18001 and support a culture of Lean and Continuous Improvement by complying with appropriate Standard Operating Procedures using correct PPE and applying Take 2 principles to all activities. This will ensure that Mpac Lambert retains its accreditation and maintains its position as a provider of high quality service and that its employees are working efficiently and safely. .

· Work with all Mpac Lambert colleagues to ensure that our internal customer ethos is delivered and maintained through everything we do including right first time, on time and in full.

· Always demonstrate respect, integrity, trust and excellence in interactions with all colleagues, customers and suppliers in line with Mpac Lambert’s internal customer programme.

· May on occasion be required to anodise components when required.
