🛠 Role – Lead Modern Workplace Engineer (x2 – one permanent and one FTC)


Head Resourcing are delighted to be partnered with financial services client in Leeds who are looking to hire a Lead Modern Workplace Engineer to join them on their exciting journey.


Lead Modern Workplace Engineers are responsible for the design, development, implementation, ongoing support and maintenance of this organisation’s Microsoft 365, Azure and limited on premise infrastructure (networking, printing and meeting rooms) and associated systems.


The Lead Modern Workplace Engineer will also be responsible for technically mentoring junior members of the team, being a subject matter expert within the team.


Skills & experience required to be successful:


The successful candidate will possess a strong background and experience of designing, building, managing and troubleshooting infrastructure, cloud-based (Azure) solutions and SaaS applications whilst applying an in-depth understanding of best practices and best security practices. As well as a mix of experience and skills in the following areas:


  • Collaboration & Unified Comms (Voice, Video, SharePoint, Email)
  • MS365 Product Suite (Previously Office 365 - Including but not limited to MS Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business)
  • Device, Application & Data Management (Intune, Windows 10 Management)
  • Office Engineering (Telemetry, Add On management & governance)
  • MS365 Security Tooling
  • Entra ID
  • Experience with Networking technologies including WAN, LAN and WiFi
  • Process Automation, scripting / coding (Including but not limited to PowerShell, PowerApps, GraphAPI, Python)
  • Experience with the Jira and Confluence toolsets
  • A customer focussed ethos to ensure customers receive the service required
  • Good stakeholder management with the ability to recommend change and contribute towards technical direction
  • The ability to self-start and organise personal workload
  • A working knowledge of Agile Development Methodology
