Overview

Everest People Solutions is currently recruiting for an experienced Production Supervisor to join our client’s reputable food processing company, based just outside Wrexham. This role is essential in ensuring performance targets are met, operational effectiveness is maximised, and that site and company KPIs are achieved. You’ll lead the production team, ensuring that both wholesale and retail orders are completed efficiently and to industry standards while maintaining the highest levels of quality and safety.


Key Responsibilities:

  • KPI Management: Complete and track daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs, providing timely and accurate updates on all performance data.
  • Production Oversight: Manage production plans, addressing changes, delays, or breakdowns and maintaining effective communication with management and the engineering team.
  • Team Supervision: Lead production line staff to ensure efficient operations, with a focus on quality, compliance, and optimal product yield.
  • Process Management: Oversee production processes to maximise labour efficiency, minimise absenteeism and turnover, and ensure effective holiday planning.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all Production Control (PC) checks are completed at each stage of the process.
  • Resource Coordination: Maintain a steady supply of raw materials to production lines, reducing downtime and meeting order deadlines.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support ad-hoc projects and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the factory.


Essential Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven experience in supervising or managing teams in a food production environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
  • Mechanically inclined with troubleshooting abilities.
  • A proven track record in driving improvements in efficiency and performance.
  • Proficiency in data recording and computer systems.


Desirable Skills:

  • Health & Safety qualification.
  • Previous experience in food production.
  • A relevant Food Hygiene qualification.
