About the Team

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing team, serving our clients across the Higher Education and Science, Residential, Workspace and Warehouses and Logistics sectors. The office, located in Cambridge city centre, is well connected to public transport infrastructure and has ample provision for cyclists.


About the Role


The role is based in the Cambridge office. You will be assisting in the production of the BIM Models, 2D drawings and visual simulations for a range of projects ranging from housing developments to large-scale renewable, commercial, and industrial projects.


As part of your role, you will be able to establish a sound understanding of the client brief. Implementing your own initiative and technical skills, you will support the wider (multi-disciplinary) project team through safe, efficient and effective delivery of tasks to deadlines.

This will ensure that the project remains within budget and to agreed standards. You will be responsible for delivery of assigned tasks whilst acting under minimal supervision, therefore you will be expected to plan your own work to meet given objectives.

Main Duties and Responsibilities;


  • Implement project requirements to fully meet the client specification in accordance with relevant standards


  • You will have experience of Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD. Being familiar with visual programming platforms such as Dynamo and Grasshopper would be beneficial.


  • You will have an interest to develop digital workflows and tools to continue to improve efficiency and productivity on project deliverables and explore the use of visual simulation tools on projects (Example: Dynamo workflows, Revit families creation, etc…).


  • Prepare your own 3D Models, drawings and schedules as identified in the Project Deliverables.


  • Collaborate with other technicians on projects with tight deadlines and mentor apprentice technicians.


  • Working alongside the Project Manager and engineers to ensure the completion of jobs


  • Managing your own workload and having all the relevant information from the briefs


What Qualifications, Experience & Skills are required?


Experience

  • Min 2 years experience working within a consultancy environment with Autodesk Revit
  • Experience using CAD 2D or Civil 3D
  • Experience using visual programming platforms (Ex. Dynamo, Grasshopper, etc)
  • Familiar with ISO16950 Standards and processes

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills; Verbal & Written
  • Ability to work independently from home and at the office
