This is not just a job—it's a career path with potential growth opportunities, as their current legal manager started as a legal assistant and trained with the firm
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and advise the business on contractual terms, highlighting risks, and offering explanations and proposals in line with the established legal process internationally.
- Draft, review, and negotiate standard and non-standard client contracts, candidate contracts (with independent contractors, PSCs, or suppliers), and other commercial agreements by business guidelines.
- Develop and apply an in-depth knowledge of the supply chain and key terms, both legal and commercial, when negotiating client agreements.
- Work closely with key stakeholders and internal teams such as sales, marketing, finance, and others to facilitate, negotiate, and finalize various transactions.
- Communicate legal approach to other teams, including externally when required.
- Plan, manage, and progress matters on which you are advising.
- Uphold best practices for contract review in line with processes, including approvals and documenting decision-making.
- Draft documents and use precedents critically, complying with all appropriate formalities and ensuring documents are legally effective and accurately reflect the business’s requirements.
- Support effective filing and assist with implementing new systems for contract management.
- Understand compliance risk and apply UK and EU Rules of Engagements.
- Analyse and assess placement to advise stakeholders on relevant risks.
- Ensure contractors meet business compliance standards.
Your application:
- Strong academics including a law degree or equivalent qualification.
- At least 6 months previous in-house or commercial contracts paralegal experience.
- Known for their camaraderie vibrant office and social team with a lot of buzz This role will require the successful In-House Paralegal to be full-time in office.
- This role will suit you if you have a work hard/play hard attitude or come from a sales background.
