Job Overview

My client is seeking a highly skilled Technical Manager to bolster the Technical Division of the company, covering an expanding retail and middle ground business with a wide range of products. This role offers growth, personal development and the ability to work on our own initiative.


Responsibilities

  • Support in the management and development of the Quality Management Systems, procedures and policies
  • Responsible for maintaining the site internal audit system including resolution of corrective actions
  • Develop and maintain hygiene procedures
  • HACCP Team leader
  • Provide Technical expertise and support before, during and after all external audits.
  • Assist in staff training
  • Conduct Quality KPI and Quality Review meetings
  • Identify opportunities for improvement
  • Coordinating, interpreting and communicating laboratory results to the site management team
  • Support the site in maintaining BRC accreditation


Qualifications

  • Degree in Food Science / Manufacturing or equivalent preferred
  • Experience working in a technical / quality role within a food related industry
  • Intermediate Food Hygiene
  • Knowledge of BRC standards and food safety
  • Computer literate and advanced HACCP
  • Fully conversant with BRC


Knowledge

  • Experience in Quality System Auditing and Management
  • Ability to develop and lead a diverse team
  • Ability to work with the site team
  • Manufacturing practice knowledge
  • Ateention to detail & creative problem solving
  • Flexibility on hours



Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £50,000.00 per year
