Fram are working on a great opportunity to join a growing Financial Planning firm based in Essex. Our client is looking to hire a Paraplanner with previous experience to join their established team. The role offers hybrid working, the option of a condensed week and flexibility for school drops offs, excellent pension and other benefits. The Paraplanning team, work in a pooled environment and along with admin team support 5 experienced Financial Planners. The firm is independent and deals with cashflow planning, pension, investment, IHT and retirement planning. If someone wanted to take on more responsibility our client will look at a senior role that helps train and develop the team, manage appraisals, holiday/sickness oversight and also sit on the investment committee.

They are looking for candidates who can :

  • Deal with existing and new client enquiries.
  • New business submission
  • Experience of writing Suitability Reports including new business, investment, and pension transfers.
  • Proficient with technical nature of advice, such as pension tax relief, carry forward, inheritance tax, capital gains tax, investment bonds, transfer process
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and Word with ability to manage spreadsheets.
  • Arranging client meetings and write up meeting notes
  • Prepare and issue annual reviews
  • Liasing with providers
  • Use back office, report writing, fund and portfolio systems
  • Literacy, numeracy, and attention to detail are crucial for this role
  • Excellent organisational skills, prepared to work as part of a team and independently.


An ideal candidate will be Diploma qualified or on your way to being (Preferably CII) with a background in paraplanning. Be hard-working, friendly, easy going, and open to ideas, prepared to listen, learn, improve skills and processes. Happy to continue to take additional exams if required.
