About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Head of HR to lead our talent strategy across the Group. This is a senior-level role, reporting directly to the Managing Director, with a key responsibility of attracting, recruiting, retaining, and developing top talent across multiple strategic regions. You will shape the company's Talent Management Strategy, develop performance management frameworks, and oversee the creation of training and development programs to align with the business's future needs. Additionally, you will drive ad-hoc business improvement initiatives that contribute to the company’s success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attracting, Recruiting, and Retaining Talent:
- Lead talent acquisition efforts, identifying and recruiting talent to address skill gaps.
- Oversee recruitment marketing efforts via agencies, referral programs, print advertising, and social media.
- Evaluate candidates through interviews to ensure a great fit for the role.
- Implement a comprehensive employee induction and mentoring program.
- Foster awareness and communication of career opportunities within the Group.
- Talent Leadership:
- Collaborate with the Board of Directors to develop and implement the Group’s Talent Management Strategy.
- Manage partnerships with universities, colleges, and agencies to maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates.
- Team Development, Engagement, and Performance Management:
- Oversee the creation and management of the Company Training Plan to align with strategic goals.
- Manage talent pools, succession planning, and career path development to support growth within the company.
- Drive initiatives to deploy and mobilize talent across the organization.
- Lead the annual appraisal process, ensuring objectives are aligned with company strategy.
- Develop reward and compensation frameworks to retain high-performance talent.
- Policies, Procedures, and Contracts:
- Ensure appropriate employee contracts and adherence to the Health & Safety policy.
- Participate in business improvement initiatives and oversee ad-hoc projects across the company.
Person Specification:
Essential:
- Degree-level qualification.
- Experience in a large, matrixed organization on both local and regional levels.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR practices.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage competing demands effectively.
- Experience in managing multi-functional HR teams.
- CIPD qualification or equivalent.
Desirable:
- Post-graduate qualification in a Human Resources or related discipline.
- Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (MCIPD).
- Experience in leading HR functions focused on talent acquisition, retention, and development.
Key Competencies:
- Strategic thinking and decision-making.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent planning, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to excellence with a focus on innovative solutions.
