This role partners with Global or Regional/Functional Division business leaders to define the GDP CRM products development and manage the portfolio of high business value digital and data change initiatives for the region. Helps to drive speed and focus through building mutual partnerships across Digital Technology towers and influencing key stakeholders across the segment. It is accountable for all Digital Technology deliveries supporting the Pet Nutrition digital enablement within the regions.


The overall purpose and accountabilities can be described as below.

  • A Senior DT partner for the PN Regional president and the regional GMs and their teams
  • Overall DT Strategy, Roadmap and Planning definition
  • Managing the projects and program delivery
  • Technology and Financial Governance
  • People and Org Development

Strategic Leadership

Segment Alignment: Defines & owns the Digital Technologies strategy within the context of the regional Business strategy

Disrupt with Digital: Brings to life within the segment business value delivery through digital capabilities

Digital Mindset: Drives the usage of the Mars Digital Flywheel and underlying methodologies including usage of test & learn approach, user centricity, data & analytics and automation

External Perspective: Brings the "outside-In" by maintaining an external network of digital professionals to deliver value faster. Contributes to build Mars Digital branding externally.

Delivering Change

Strategy Delivery: Accountable and responsible for the delivery of Digital Technologies supporting the OGSM use cases within the geography (on time, in scope, on budget)

Business Transformation: Organize and Deliver multi-years, large scale programs to deliver efficiency, growth or people engagement.

Digital Technology strategy: Accountable for the DT strategy supporting PN DT enablement within the region.

Operational Excellence

Budget: accountable of digital technology delivery transformational and operational budgets within the region

Investment Planning: accountable for annual DT investment planning for the region. Plus, also accountable for strategic three-year planning for DT investments working closely with the business. Technology and Financial Governance: Ensuring the value for money from DT investments by ensuring we follow the technology standards, policies, reusability and sweating the assets where possible.

People Leader

Digital capability enablement: Seen as the champion of the Digital capability awareness, education, and communications

Stakeholder Management: Works with the PN Regional president, markets GM and their leaders to ensure that Digital Technologies effectively support PN DT agenda

Deployment Team: Manages and is accountable for the regional deployment team

Functional Leadership: Manages both the demand and supply functional leaders.

Teams of Team: Manage Associates & contractors’ engagement behind segment/geography, beyond reporting lines

Matrix Management: Manages a large MGS DT team indirectly to manage data center, apps mngt, security, specialist DT functions such as marketing DT.


Knowledge/Experience:


  • 10 to 15 years working in a Digital Tech related role
  • Proven strategy, planning, delivery, governance and people and org management skills, capability and experience
  • Must be customer focused with demonstrated ability to form productive relationship including business leaders, DT personnel and project leaders
  • Strong Story Telling skills
  • Deep understanding of business drivers / processes and ability to relate segment priorities to associated technology
  • Ability to educate non-digitally savvy leadership & staff
  • Learning agility and desire to learn new technology and business
  • Excellent written and verbal skills as well as high interpersonal skills
  • Experience working across multiple levels of an organization
  • Strong problem analysis, negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Should have a proven track record of delivering results in some of the following area : Program mgt, digital marketing , data and analytics, Consumer facing solutions
  • Management, Senior Management exposure
  • Proven track record to get things done in a matrixed organization and influencing without authority
