We are exclusively partnered with a leading Investment Manager who offer exceptionally diverse allocations across public and private markets. Our client deploys innovative and value adding tactical asset allocation strategies to manage risk and enhance returns. The role will support oversight and modelling of the fund and asset classes, working with teams across the business, both public and private asset classes, to help enhance the risk framework.


Duties and responsibilities:

  • Model, monitor and report on whole of fund investment risks including liquidity, equity beta, portfolio available liquidity, leverage and counterparty risks.
  • Monitor risk guardrails and prepare risk and performance summaries for our in-house derivative overlay strategies.
  • Work with the team to deepen risk analytics and exposure reporting of our equity, fixed income, private markets and hedge fund strategies.
  • Support the risk modelling and oversight of externally managed investment strategies such as Quantitative Investment Strategies (QIS) swaps held with dealer banks.
  • Work with the Investment Systems team to automate risk reporting processes and develop reporting dashboards linked to various data sources to help monitor in-house portfolio management activities.
  • Work with the Responsible Investment team on annual reporting and new climate risk reports.
  • Review existing reports with stakeholders and suggest ways we can improve the presentation and/or workflow.
  • Design and implement new investment risk and performance reports for the Investment Division e.g. in response to new derivative strategies.


Skills:

  • 2-3 years of investment/market risk experience on the buy-side or sell-side

Good academics in a technical field (e.g. maths, engineering, sciences)
