They are trusted by many leading highly regulated organisations (FS, Legal, Govt) to help improve their security, protect against fraud, phishing and credential theft.

They eliminate the attackers primary target – the password - by leveraging their unique technology in replacing passwords with a single cryptographic digital identity that is robustly protected and the user’s biometric input. It allows users to access their systems simply and securely without ever needing to know or use a password.

About the Role

They are looking for a Front-End Developer responsible for the development and maintenance of their core server app's front end using React and Node, as well as our corporate website. Your primary focus will be the development of user interface components and their integration with our Java backend services. You will work alongside other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem-solving, sophisticated design, and the creation of quality products is essential.


Responsibilities

  • Designing and developing the front end for the Core Server platform using React and Node.
  • Ensuring developed software meets the performance, quality, and responsiveness requirements.
  • Developing software using secure techniques, adhering to industry-accepted security standards, and following best practices and guidelines from organizations such as OWASP.
  • Collaborating with the technical team to define, design, and release new features.
  • Identifying and correcting bottlenecks and potential software bugs.
  • Maintaining code quality, organization, and automation.
  • Contributing in all phases of the development lifecycle.
  • Writing well-designed, testable, commented, and efficient code.
  • Ensuring software designs comply with specifications.
  • Preparing and producing releases of software components.
  • Supporting continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review.

Skills

  • Computer Science or related degree or a proven track record in industry.
  • Solid understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern front-end technologies.
  • Proficiency in React.js and Node.js.
  • Experience with API integration, especially with Java backends.
  • Strong UI/UX design skills and experience in creating user-friendly interfaces.
  • Knowledge of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (such as Git).
  • Familiarity with performance and memory tuning with tools.
  • Experience with security practices in web development.


Personal Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of front-end development experience within an enterprise software organization.
  • Passionate about development with a keen eye for detail.
  • Focused on deliverables and able to work independently and within a team.

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge and experience in working within highly regulated sectors such as financial services.
  • Experience working within a start-up environment.
  • Experience dealing with customers.
  • Knowledge of authentication protocols (such as Kerberos and Mutual TLS).
