About the Role:

We are currently seeking an experienced Engineering Lead to join a leading Space company to work on their space and satellite missions. You will make a real impact on the next generation of computing platforms within the space industry.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage the R&D team on developing digital telecom payloads and embedded systems for satellite applications.
  • Manage the product development lifecycle
  • Create engineering strategies
  • Drive innovation within your teams
  • Make sure all strategies comply with industry standards
  • Mentor your team members, providing guidance, training, and drive their career development
  • Be the point of contact for internal stakeholders, customers, and external partners


Required Experience:

  • Degree in relevant area eg. Engineering
  • Team Leadership experience
  • Experience in the development of embedded systems, especially for space applications.
  • Experience in developing cellular networks.
  • Experience in the design and implementation of embedded telecom systems.
  • Knowledge of digital communication principles and satellite communication protocols.
  • Understanding of space industry standards related to satellite communication and embedded systems.


Bonus experience:

  • Real-time operating systems (RTOS)
  • Software-defined radios (SDRs),
  • FPGA programming.
  • Xilinx toolchains and ecosystems.
  • Antenna systems, RF frontend design, and modulation techniques.
  • Experience with 5G waveform, DVB-S2X, CCSDS modems, DPDK, and VPP L2/L3 processing.
