IT SUPPORT ENGINEER (L2)


Location: London (Hybrid - 3 days in office, 2 days remote)


Employment Type: Long Term Contract


Salary: £4000 per month


Job Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled IT Support Engineer (L2) with expertise in desktop support and system administration, specializing in both Microsoft and Apple environments. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with strong customer service skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team. You will be responsible for providing both first and second-line support, maintaining and configuring workstations, and managing a wide range of platforms and services to ensure smooth operations across the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality 1st and 2nd line support to users in both local and international locations.
  • Manage and resolve technical incidents and requests via JIRA and other ticketing systems, ensuring SLAs are met.
  • Deliver comprehensive support for Microsoft 365 E5 environments, including managing permissions, mailbox rules, and creating scripts to improve workflows and productivity.
  • Offer cross-platform support for MacOS and Windows systems, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Administer permissions and provide application support for Azure, Okta, Zoom, and other essential platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with the desktop and system administration teams to ensure workstation environments meet business requirements.
  • Maintain and configure hardware, software, and applications, ensuring optimal functionality and security.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network, server, and workstation issues both remotely and on-site.
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery of services and equipment.
  • Assist with user onboarding and off-boarding processes, including account setups and access management.


Key Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft OS and Apple OS.
  • Proficiency in Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Microsoft 365, and SharePoint.
  • Experience with VPN services, Okta, and Jamf for managing permissions and ensuring security compliance.
  • Familiarity with networking equipment, Active Directory, Group Policy, and SCCM.
  • Strong experience with ticketing systems like JIRA for managing incidents and requests.
  • Working knowledge of virtual servers, mobile device management, security, and VPN technologies.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with proven experience in dynamic environments.
  • Hands-on experience providing cross-platform support for Mac and Windows environments.
