About Chai Cancer Care:


Founded in 1990, Chai Cancer Care currently supports over 4,300 cancer patients and their families through 68 specialised services. In addition to our flagship centre in Northwest London, we have a further 10 UK satellite centres with a team of over 220 staff including counsellors, therapists and volunteers. We collaborate with the NHS, Marie Curie Cancer Care, and other community groups to meet our clients' needs. We do not charge for any services and receive no statutory funding, relying on the generosity of our donors to meet running costs of £3.8 million per annum.



The Role:


We are now looking for a dynamic and innovative leader as our next Chief Executive Officer. This is an exceptional opportunity to join an already successful organisation which is at the forefront of cancer support and care. Working closely with the Chairman, the CEO will ensure, and guide continuing high-quality care and drive strategic growth to realise significant potential.



Person Profile:


You will be an inspired individual with a proven track record at senior management level, capable of translating strategic vision into practice. The ideal candidate will have a degree-level education and although not essential a relevant professional qualification in counselling, social work, nursing, or teaching.


You should have substantial experience in a similar environment, proven leadership and team management skills, and in-depth knowledge of safeguarding. You must have a deep understanding of Jewish culture and values. Personal attributes should include dynamic leadership ability, excellent relationship management, pragmatic problem-solving, and strong communication skills. The successful candidate will be humble yet competent, able to recognise and build on the strengths of the existing team.
