Credit Controller and Sales Ledger Administrator

We are currently hiring for a Credit Control and Sales Ledger Admin at our Head Office in Torquay.
Working hours will be 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9-5.
Previous experience of Credit Control is preferred with a strong Customer Service background. A reasonable proficiency with MS Excel is a key requirement. The successful candidate must be able to work both independently and within a team.
Key responsibilities include:
o Setting up and maintaining customer account details
o Check the banks every morning and periodically throughout the day and allocate payments onto CRM system – advising depots where necessary
o Bank Reconciliations
o Chase/monitor customers – daily/continually
o Report any overdue debts
o Liaise with customer/individual site agents/QS’s pre-empting due payments and providing copy invoices, statements etc
o Liaise with depots regarding customer queries
o Escalate issues to Line Manager
o Complete Cheque paying in slip – deposit in bank as required
o Cash Customer payment allocation on CASH ledger
o Supporting Sales Ledger where required
Key Skills:
o Sage Line 50 Experience
o Excellent telephone manner
o Strong communication
o Attention to detail
o The ability to work to targets and manage a busy workload
o The ability to identify and escalate any issues of concern
o Highly Competent in using Excel, Word & Outlook
