The role


We are looking for a Junior Graphic Designer to join our Retention marketing agency. You will be working alongside a team of copywriters, senior designers and CRM specialists to deliver world-class email marketing services. The role will be to take ownership of email design and layout, appearance and build. You will be responsible for the design and creation of regular campaigns and flows for a wide range of exciting and industry leading ecommerce brands.


You will use your creative skills to create graphics, templates and design elements to build emails that are responsive, effective, on-brand and ecommerce focussed. In addition, you will continually be looking to improve our existing email templates, looking at more interactive emails to help improve open and click through rates.


Responsibilities


  • Translate copy into a visual narrative for campaigns and flow emails
  • Working closely with our senior designers to build out initial email templates
  • Create email specific branding guide per client
  • Concepting new design ideas while adhering closely to client branding
  • Maintaining high standards in process, design, file naming/structure and presentation
  • Incorporating new techniques and trends in email marketing efforts


Requirements


  • 1-2+ years graphic design experience, UI / UX or web design acceptable
  • Experience with adobe XD/figma and photoshop
  • Outstanding communication and design skills
  • Experience working in an agency not essential but strongly preferred
  • Strong foundational graphic design skills; understanding of typography + colour theory best practices is essential
  • Problem-solving mindset, heavy attention to detail and flawless execution on all assigned tasks
  • Able to work across a diverse range of brand languages and design
  • Hard working team player with a creative eye
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once
  • Degree in art, design or marketing strongly preferred but not essential
  • Experience with email specific design is a plus, but not necessary
  • Experience with motion or animation is a plus, but not necessary
