Our client is a leading technology company who are looking for a Software Development Team Leader to join their busy, growing, and successful team.


(Lead) Software Developer


Berkshire – hybrid with 3-4 days per week office based.


£60-100K plus excellent benefits package.


To be successful in this role:

You will be ether a Software Development Team Leader, Senior Developer or Software Developer. For the Senior role you will have 4+ years of experience managing a team.

This is a hands-on role, and you will be passionate about leading by example, and motivating a team to develop the highest quality output.


Other requirements for this role include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Good experience of developing in C#
  • Good experience in SQL
  • Experience of using relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience in source control, in particular Git
  • Experience working within an Agile environment


Desirable:

  • Some knowledge and understanding of AI and ML concepts
  • Experience of JavaScript, Typescript and associated frameworks and libraries, in particular React.js


Job role and responsibilities:


Software Development:

  • Write code in appropriate languages, principally C#
  • Design the architecture of new application components
  • Work within an Agile team to develop applications
  • Test new features or developments
  • Review projects/deployments
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner to manage the Product(s) backlog and give guidance on timeframes for deliverables


Team Management:

  • Leading by example as a master in all disciplines of software development
  • Mentor direct reports within the same agile team
  • Complete performance reviews and personal development plans for direct reports
  • Monitor the performance of team members
  • Facilitate agile \ Scrum ceremonies
  • Collaborate with other teams and departments to ensure that deliverables from the team will meet the customer’s expectation
