We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Development Associate/Manager, ideally based in London – but flexible - to support our acquisition strategy across the UK, Ireland and broader Europe.

Reporting directly to the Group Head of Corporate Development and M&A, this role requires strong M&A passion/skills, with a nice breadth of experience across the full M&A cycle, ideally experience in the TICC (Testing, Inspection, Certification and Compliance) sector, and the proven ability to execute and manage multiple acquisitions simultaneously.

Who are we?

  • A dynamic and fast-growing global business, committed to delivering best-in-class Testing, Inspection, Certification, and Compliance (TICC) services.
  • Over £500m revenues across 5 business divisions
  • On a strong growth ramp, over next 3 years, through continued M&A and organic performance
  • Our culture is built on collaboration, ambition, and a relentless drive for excellence.

Key Role Responsibilities

(depending on experience, but you will quickly develop, to handle all)

  • M&A Origination and Pipeline Management
  • Identify and assess potential acquisition targets aligned with our Group's strategic objectives.
  • Develop relationships with business owners, brokers, and industry professionals to source high-quality opportunities.
  • Maintain and manage a robust pipeline of M&A opportunities, targeting multiple acquisitions annually.
  • Market Research and Industry Analysis
  • Conduct in-depth research on the TICC sector to identify emerging trends and areas of opportunity.
  • Provide comprehensive financial, operational, and strategic assessments of potential targets.
  • Deal Execution and Integration Support
  • Lead and support the end-to-end M&A process, including overseeing due diligence, negotiation, and execution of transactions.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, including divisional leads, finance and legal teams, to ensure seamless deal completion.
  • Relationship Management
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with stakeholders, including advisors, brokers, and TICC industry contacts.
  • Act as a trusted representative of our Group within the TICC sector.

Person Specification

Experience

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in M&A, corporate finance, or a related field.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing full-cycle M&A transactions, including origination, negotiation, but not full integration.
  • Ideally some experience understanding of the TICC sector

Skills and Competencies

  • Strategic Thinker - ability to align M&A activities with broader organisational goals.
  • Financial Acumen - exceptional financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills.
  • Multitasking Expert – proven ability to handle multiple acquisitions simultaneously.
  • Relationship-Driven - strong networking, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Self-Motivation: proactive, self-driven, and capable of working independently or within a team.

Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree; ideally also qualifications in Finance / M&A

Cultural Fit

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for driving growth in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Adaptability to work within a diverse and dynamic organisation, embracing our Group's values and culture.
