Mechanical Technician // Electrical Technician - £30k to £40k - EV - Berkshire

A leading hydrogen company is seeking a talented Mechanical Technician and a talented Electrical Technician to join their team. Role: Mechanical Technician

Salary: £30k to £40k

Location: Berkshire


Responsibilities:


  • Install, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment and systems within hydrogen production facilities.
  • Assemble mechanical components and subsystems according to engineering drawings, specifications and assembly procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections and diagnostics to identify mechanical issues and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Maintain records of assembly procedures, test results, maintenance activities, and equipment performance data to ensure accurate documentation for compliance and continual improvement purposes.
  • Collaborate with engineers and operators to optimize mechanical systems for hydrogen production processes.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the longevity and reliability of equipment.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.


Qualifications:


  • Degree or certification in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician, preferably in industrial settings.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical systems.
  • Knowledge of pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, and other mechanical equipment used in hydrogen production is advantageous.
  • Commitment to safety practices and procedures.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.


Role: Electrical Technician

Salary: £35k to £45k

Location: Berkshire


Responsibilities:


  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment within hydrogen production facilities.
  • Perform routine inspections and diagnostics to ensure the reliability and efficiency of electrical systems.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and implement timely and effective solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of electrical installations, maintenance activities, test results, and equipment performance data, documenting findings and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with engineers and operators to optimize electrical systems for hydrogen production processes.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a secure working environment.


Qualifications:


  • Technical certification in electrical engineering technology, electrical systems, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience working as an electrical technician in a manufacturing or engineering environment, preferably with experience in electrical installation, testing, and maintenance.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regs
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate within a team environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional overtime as needed to support project deadlines and production schedules.
