What you will do

As the Electrical Craft Team Member, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the efficient execution of installations and corrective/preventive maintenance. You’ll achieve this while adhering to both local and works procedures. Specifically, your role involves working in Electrical Distribution, providing electrical services across a wide range of areas. This includes assisting with High Voltage distribution projects up to 33kV and all Low Voltage distribution and equipment outside of Manufacturing.

Here are the key tasks:

  • Adhere to local and works procedures related to Safety and Environment.
  • Undertake Risk Assessments and contribute to the local Health & Safety Plan.
  • Execute projects and perform preventive/corrective maintenance on LV distribution systems.
  • Support distribution engineers in Shotton’s HV/LV network projects and maintenance.
  • Facilitate the development of Apprentices.
  • Review and update maintenance procedures as needed.
  • Manage standby generators.
  • Assist Colors manufacturing and other end users in resolving faults where the HV/LV network overlaps with their systems.
  • Conduct testing of the works earthing network.

What you will need

To excel in this role, you should be a time-served electrician with formal qualifications and relevant experience. Ideally, you’ll be 18th edition qualified (though 17th edition will also be considered). The Electrical Craft Team Member will hold strong communication skills, a solid understanding of company procedures, and risk awareness when planning and executing tasks.

While knowledge of SAP is preferred, familiarity with HV equipment is beneficial but not mandatory. Additionally, having an IPAF/MEWP License is advantageous.
