We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Stocken, a category C Prison located in Stretton, Rutland.

In this role you will have the opportunity to provide the highest standards of healthcare to our patients, without having to compromise on efficiency and quality.

Hours

Monday - Friday 07:30-17:30, or 18:30

Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays 08:30-17:30

This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £38,115 per annum - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job

As a Primary Care Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will

Developing and leading clinics Undertaking examinations and tests Answering emergency bells and potentially being the first person to attend an emergency Deliver a nurse led service and prevent hospital admissions.

Qualifications & Experience required

Registered nurse Adult Evidence of Continued Professional Development Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working A non-judgmental and compassionate approach Understanding of clinical governance, health and safety, QOF, EBP and national standards

Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.

Job responsibilities

As a Primary Care Nurse you will work within amulti-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse led service and prevent hospitaladmissions. You will undertakemedication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency responsesituations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening. You will use your skills and knowledge todeliver nurse led clinics to your patient group whilst being supported by amulti-disciplinary team.

You will contribute to our nursing strategy and vision to;

Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, seekingout, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalisedand informed by what matters to them.

Deliver non-judgemental care that makes a real difference, asdefined throughout our bespoke Health in Justice competency framework.

Inspire excellence by forging strong links with our partners andstakeholders and providing a service that people can trust, feel safe within,and feel proud of.
