We are lookingfor a Senior Project Manager tosupport the Contract Delivery Manager in the Arb Utility divisionat Ground Control. You will be responsible for managing theoperation for an assigned programme of tree works across CambridgeColchester and the surrounding areas. You will take responsibilityfor driving the programme delivery for both self contract KPItargets and our tree cutting teams. In addition you will take a keyrole in mentoring and guiding the more junior members of theteam.

This is a fieldbased role withapproximately 3 days in the field and 2 days based at home

You will ensure work is completed to the highestpossible standards in terms of safety environment quality customerservice and profitability. Drive consistency and innovation througheverything you do to ensure Ground Control are the best at what wedo

What you willachieve;

  • Responsiblefor outputs and performance within your projects measured againstsafety quality production budget required timings and clientsatisfaction.
  • Ensure efficient communicationwith your assigned Project Coordinator and relevant action taken toensure projects are processed in good time for smooth and efficientproject delivery on all projects.
  • Timely andeffective reporting and communication through to your ContractDelivery Manager
  • Ensure your assigned treecutting teams have a suitable work bank and are being fullyutilised across the wider contract.
  • Update andmanage the Work Programme SD Programme Held Up Programme Planningchecklists and all similar programmes for your project and assignedteams.
  • Satisfactorily resolving any HeldUpspans that need client resolution to obtainconsent.

Who are welooking for

This a great role forsomeone with a basic general project management understanding whowould like to move into a completely different environmental sectorand expand their skills further.

To be successfulin this role you must have:

  • Practicedand strong negotiation and influencingskills.
  • Proficient and competentIT.
  • Welldeveloped team management andorganisational skills experience in managing a small team as wellas providing coaching to this team
  • Ability toprioritise workload and balance demands from numerous sources toensure that all stakeholder needs aremet.
  • Excellent CustomerService.

Any previous experiencewithin the Environmental services sector would be useful but is notessential.
