A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced  Hygiene Operative to join the team at Mitcham,  to enable Hovis to deliver on its vision of being the best quality brand in bakery. We are looking for a Hygiene Operative to support and improve the set hygiene standards at all times, in line with customer requirements, to ensure continued mitigation of any food safety risks and to make certain the site is always audit ready every day. 

Some of the key accountabilities include;

To ensure hygiene standards & good housekeeping practices are maintained throughout the factory / site. To use Chemicals safely, effectively, at dilution rates specified, & preventing unnecessary waste. To ensure all PPE is properly used & worn as required To perform any other tasks that may be reasonably requested by the Company for the fulfilment of the role of Hygiene Operative. To be prepared to work in all Departments within the Site, if / when required. To ensure that Safe Working Practice is adhered to at all times. To ensure all Company Procedures are followed at all times. Responsible for actively promoting good working relationships both within the Hygiene Team and with all fellow colleagues To ensure any issues are reported directly to Hygiene Team Leader

Ideal Experiences / Qualifications / Capabilities:

Essential

Basic Food Hygiene Knowledge of all hygiene standards / colour coding / dress code High understanding of GMP High understanding of audit requirements High understanding of Health & Safety Knowledge of PPE & Safety equipment

Desirable

Previous Hygiene Experience in Bakery Environment COSHH Training IPAF Trained
