Qualifications

Essential criteria

MCIPD or equivalent Educated to Masters level or able to demonstrate equivalent level of knowledge Evidence of professional development

Experience

Essential criteria

Knowledge of current NHS employment related Government issues and policy direction In-depth knowledge and application of human resources best practice Thorough understanding and application of employment law and equality legislation Significant operational HR experience with experience of developing the workforce aspects of operational business plans Evidence of leading the workforce elements of key organisational change programmes and devising HR solutions which ensure consistency Experience of advising managers on complex change processes including restructuring, redundancy and TUPE transfers

Desirable criteria

Proven NHS/Public Sector experience and knowledge Working knowledge of NHS terms and conditions of employment Experience in promoting the equality and diversity agenda – able to evidence achievements in relation to organisational equality and diversity objectives

Information Technology / Resources

Essential criteria

Ability to assimilate, analyse, interpret and present complex data and information clearly and concisely using a range of IT tools and software IT skills i.e., word, excel and PowerPoint and the ability to manipulate, interpret and describe complex information

Knowledge & Skills

Essential criteria

Evidence of ability to act as a role model for staff and advocate best practice across the organisation Ability to work under pressure, be able to prioritise and work to tight deadlines ensuring competing demands are met Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a manner which is clear, fluent and persuasive Customer focused Results orientated
