Sociology & Criminology Teacher Needed

Location: Chelmsford
Position: Sociology & Criminology Teacher
Start Date: ASAP/November 2024
Contract: Full-time

Are you passionate about Sociology and Criminology? Do you have the drive to inspire and shape the next generation of critical thinkers? We are supporting a schol in Chelmsford, to seek an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher to join their dynamic team, with a start date of either ASAP or November 2024.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons in Sociology and/or Criminology across KS4/KS5 (or relevant level)
  • Inspire students to critically analyse social structures, criminal behaviour, and societal issues
  • Develop and implement innovative lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs
  • Monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to drive academic success
  • Contribute to the wider school community and participate in extracurricular activities

Requirements:

  • A degree in Sociology, Criminology, or a related field
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification (desired)
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for education
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff and support students’ holistic development
