DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to) :
Essential duties:
Teach undergraduate civil engineering courses such as structural and transportation engineering Teach general engineering courses such as statics, dynamics, and mechanics of deformable bodies, and surveying with CAD Provide academic advising and support to students Provide support for ABET assessment and evaluation Participate in recruiting activitiesSecondary responsibilities:
Participate in faculty self-governance and serve on school level and university level committees Participate in department and school meetings and other academic activitiesMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (education/training and experience required):
Required:
A Ph.D. in Civil Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution Demonstrated teaching ability in civil engineering courses Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse academic environmentPreferred:
Professional engineering licensure or eligibility for licensure Experience in industry or consulting related to Civil EngineeringPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND/OR UNUSUAL HOURS:
