The shift pattern for this position is Thursday - Friday 0830-1630. (Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.
The post holder will work as part of the multidisciplinary team to support effective clinical care by providing efficient administrative, clerical and receptionist services within the maternity departments.
The post holder is expected to communicate extensively verbally with the patient, their relative/carers, the multi-disciplinary ward team and other departments involved in the provision of care.
Knowledge required to undertake the role will be established through relevant in-house training relating to processes and procedures, TrakCare patient information system and stock ordering system with expectation of performing at a fully competent level within a specific time period (tbc).
Requirements:
Previous clerical/reception experience is desirable along with previous experience of working with the general public in a customer service environment. Good organisational and communication skills. Keyboard skills and proficient use of computer systems are essential.This post is part of a job share for Thursday Friday cover.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.
